This bollard is the result of a request from a community looking to have their streets and intersections be more accessible and inclusive for the visually impaired. The flat top was used in this application for a braille inscription (see installation gallery). This simple design also incorporates recycled plastic lumber on the sides to coordinate with other street furnishings. Upon completion, we decided that the straightforward design was a real winner, and included it in our available product line (with or without braille inscription of course! )
100% Recycled Plastic Lumber Colours
Wishbone recycled plastic boards are non-toxic, ultra-durable and low maintenance. They are easy to clean and
can be renewed from UV damage. The recycled material is simply excellent for the demands of outdoor
commercial furniture while also helping to divert waste plastic from landfills.
For applications where wood is preferred, Wishbone has several options. Stains or oils specified by the
customer can optionally be applied by Wishbone during manufacture. Contact us for further details.
