At Wishbone, our products are proudly crafted in Canada by our dedicated team, and here's what that means for you: We're committed to sustainability and quality every step of the way. By channeling materials that might otherwise end up in landfills or recycling centres directly to our foundry, we're making a positive impact on both the local environment and the economy.
From the initial raw materials to the final product, our team is involved in every stage of production. Quality control is a top priority, and our seamless coordination between foundry, accounting, warehouse, and sales ensures that we deliver excellence with every shipment.
In this month's newsletter, we're excited to take you behind the scenes of our manufacturing process. The images below, captured in a single day, offer a glimpse into the hands-on approach we employ at Wishbone and our wholly owned facility, Wellington Foundry. Enjoy this exclusive look at how our team works together to bring you top-quality products.
Each Bench is Finished by Hand
Cleaning up the aluminum casting on a Modena Bench. In order to really show off those clean modern lines of this product, we take great care in prepping the aluminum for final powder coating.

The beginning of a new product...

Pouring the molten aluminum for a Mountain Classic Bench is one of the coolest processes to watch happen at the foundry. This allows us to create interesting and unusual metal shapes such as embossing a name or logo into the sidewall. |
Innovation in Action
here we see the CNC machine perfectly creating the drain holes for the Rutherford Wheelchair Accessible Planter. This product innovation is now featured in many care facilities. But it all starts right here.

"Insourcing" vs Outsourcing
In a world increasingly dominated by global outsourcing, we've chosen a different path. At Wishbone, we believe in "insourcing" rather than "outsourcing." We've invested in our communities, employed skilled local professionals, and committed ourselves to being a beacon of positive change in the marketplace.
Every product you receive has been touched by someone from the Wishbone/Wellington team at every stage of its creation. This hands-on approach ensures that you receive a product of the highest quality, crafted with care and designed to stand the test of time. Our dedication to local production not only supports the economy but also guarantees a product you can trust and rely on.
